How to Apply Eyeliner: Get the perfect Cat Eye/ Winged Eye

How to Apply Eyeliner the Easy Way

The times when you spent 1 hour to get your flawless cat eye look are over ladies! Give in to the power of beauty cheat sheets and steal this idea for your makeup routine.
What you Will Need:

– Scotch tape
– Liquid eyeliner
– Yes, that’s really it.

Take an inch-long piece of tape and stick it your hand to dull its stickiness (you don’t want it to ruin your foundation or to tug your delicate eye area). Place the tape underneath the outer corner of your eye, angling it towards your temple. The way you angle the tape will define the look, so if you’re going for an Amy Winehouse-esque look, angle it towards the end of your eyebrow. For a classic pinup “easy” look, angle it towards your temple. Try out different angles and find the one that suits you best. Begin to draw the line from the middle of your top lid, with short strokes: draw a stripe to the outer corner of your eye following your tape like a ruler guide. Make sure to get the line thinner and thinner as you sketch it out. Don’t worry if the color bleeds on the tape because it will be removed (of course it will be removed, do you want to start a new trend? ;) Make sure to fill with color all the light spots in the line, then wait for the color to dry. This will take about 30 seconds: carefully remove the tape. Ta-dah! Your perfect winged eye is ready to charm your audience tonight.

P.S.: the tape trick can be useful to create a wide range of cool makeup looks. Have a look at the gallery below to get some inspiration. Don’t be afraid to get creative with it!
